ABOUT Barbara
Welcome, you beautiful soul!
Hey Y’all! I’m so grateful you’re here! 🤍
I’m Barbara Vega — AKA Barbi.
I’m a Latina Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), a nurse-informed wellness educator with a Master’s in Public Health (MPH). I’m also a twin mom navigating a full, demanding but meaningful life with London & Jaxon.
I’ve spent over 20 years in healthcare, supporting adults across the lifespan, with a deep interest in women navigating chronic illness, burnout, and major life transitions, while also learning how to care for myself within the demands of a busy, multifaceted life.
I’m a fitness enthusiast, major foodie, lifelong learner, and multipassionate woman at heart — one who believes deeply in living well, loving hard, and showing up for life with intention.
I’ve been chasing my BIG dreams since 1986!
Why This Space Exists
I’ve evolved and reinvented myself more than once.
Like many women, I did everything “right” on paper — degrees, career, accomplishments, responsibilities — yet quietly felt overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, constantly stuck in the “shoulds” of life beneath it all.
Somewhere between work, caregiving, expectations, culture, and the invisible load women carry, I lost touch with myself.
And I also discovered the freedom that comes when you return home to yourself.
This space exists because of that knowing.
Through it all, what I’ve learned is that women need compassion, community, and wellness approaches that support us in every facet of our lives, across a lifetime — as we grow, change, and move through different seasons in life.
Who I am: Beyond the Credentials
Yes, I’m a nurse, chronic disease specialist, and health educator. But I didn’t begin this work as a wellness guide. I started as a woman trying to survive her own life, and gradually became a woman learning how to thrive in it with more awareness, presence, and meaning.
Through movement, healing, and deeper self-care practiced over the years, I rebuilt my relationship with my mind, body, and spirit — not perfectly, but honestly, with intention, grace, and care.
Now, I support and empower other women as they put themselves first unapologetically, reconnecting with themselves through realistic, whole-person wellness that fits their lives, not the other way around.
I’m a proud Latina with deeply ingrained cultural roots — born and raised in NYC. I thrive on curiosity and exploration, movement, wholehearted conversations, belly laughs, and nature — creating space for joy, connection, and fun in everyday life.
What I Stand For
-
To help women reclaim the parts of themselves they abandoned for survival and thrive in their mind, body, and spirit — not through pressure or hustle culture, but through empowerment, community, alignment, and Soul Care.
Your wellness journey doesn’t need to look perfect.
It just needs to begin. -
Wellness is not one-size-fits-all. Your journey is personal.
Caring for yourself isn’t selfish — it’s essential in a world that often expects women to sacrifice themselves.
Women deserve rest, vitality, joy, and support, not just responsibility.
Soul Care bridges your inner child, your present self, and who you’re becoming.
Community care and connection make us stronger. We rise higher together.
-
At the heart of everything I do is freedom.
Time freedom. Location freedom. Financial freedom. The kind of freedom that allows me to live life with intention instead of constantly rushing through my days.
I believe women are the strongest, bravest beings on this planet, even when they don’t feel like it. We deserve to live lives that are happy in mind, healthy in body, and fulfilled in spirit — meaningful, playful, and deeply aligned.
I value and live through honesty, authenticity, curiosity, and community. I’m committed to showing up as I am, being vulnerable, sharing what I’ve lived, and creating spaces where women are empowered and feel seen, supported, and inspired.
By sharing my journey, I’m inviting you to begin your own.
Please join me on this beautiful adventure!
Final Note
At the end of the day, I’m just a woman who stopped waiting and started choosing herself, being intentional about where I placed my energy and consistently reminding myself of the resilience that was leading me forward.

Love Notes from my Chosen Family — My Soul Sisters…
“I admire that you lead with empathy. That is not easy at all, especially coming from someone like me. You always try to see the perspective of why a person is doing what they’re doing, and you get down to the nitty gritty of the reasoning behind it. I also admire that you made decisions in your life and at least tried despite the judgment you have received and failure or risk involved. You have tried different things and pushed forward.”
— Yaz
"Your commitment to pursuing your purpose is nothing short of amazing. I admire how you strive to pay it forward; it's a gift that so many of us truly need."
— Lo
“One of the things I love most about you is that you set your intentions and follow through regardless of what’s happening around you. Most people, including me, spend a large portion of their life trying to hone in on that level of self-discipline. Self-discipline is a huge act of self-love.”
— Mimi
“Your strength is your positive attitude... your ambition... always trying to be better and work on yourself. You’re a safe space... You make people feel seen and heard! You’re caring and loving... and kind!”
